About The San Diego Youth Council
OUR MISSION
The San Diego Youth Council is committed to reducing underage and binge drinking, substance abuse, childhood obesity, juvenile diabetes and other youth health problems through youth-created media and policy advocacy campaigns.
OUR HISTORY
The San Diego Youth Council was founded in 2000 to train and empower a diverse group of youth as advocates for issues affecting the health and safety of young people in San Diego County. The Council’s print and television campaigns have been featured in San Diego County malls and movie theaters; on major news networks and morning shows; and in the pages of The Wallstreet Journal. Youth Council members travel the state and country teaching their award-winning techniques for transforming teens into media savvy spokespersons and policy advocates.
